Zoo Day

Two weeks ago we went to the zoo with a bunch of our friends. Gus and Trent were too cute not to photograph in the wagon together.

Is it nap time yet?

Mommy, I need a hair cut, I don't want to look like a real monkey

Clemson Weekend

The first weekend of March was equally fabulous as we purchased our new house in Greenville and spent the rest of the weekend at the lake and in Clemson with our good friends the Scotts and their precious little girl Andie.

Clemson had a basketball game on Saturday and a baseball game on Sunday - these were Gus's first Clemson sporting events. I will never forget the look of pure joy and excitement on his face when we entered packed LittleJohn Coliseum - his eyes were the size of basketballs themselves. We spent about the half the game out on the concourse letting Gus run around, and the other half enjoying the game. It was a big win for the Tigers and so much fun for our family.

We had lunch with some of our other friends the Players and the Clamps and then headed over to the game. This is how we spent most of the baseball game thanks to the one hour rain delay, but luckily it was another big win for the Tigers and a beautiful day.

LRAH 10k and Selling the House

The last weekend in February was great for our family.

We sold our house Friday night and got a full price offer. We worked out the details and signed the contract on Saturday afternoon and it was a done deal. So a full price offer in less then 30 days in the worst housing market in decades - we could not be more thrilled or feel more blessed.

I think monkey was excited about the home sale because he didn't sleep much for us on Friday night and on less then 5 hours of sleep on Saturday morning I ran my first 10k.

My sister-in-law Holly ran it with me (its our second race together) and we finished pretty close in time. I finished the race in 1 hour and 30 seconds and under my 10 minute mile goal. Next stop - half marathon!

We celebrated the big finish, the home sale, and a nice day with some time at the park after the race. Can you tell that mommy didn't dress Gus that day?

Uncle Chris comes to visit

So I would be remiss if I didn't post about a long overdue visit from my brother Chris a few weeks ago. Chris recently moved to Florida for a job here - jealous anyone?

Gus really took to his Uncle Chris - which we knew he would - they are practically twins!

It was just a short overnight visit, but very enjoyable and good sibling bonding time.

See the resemblance...
