We were blessed enough to spend 2 whole weeks at the beach this summer. We jokingly called it the Boling family unemployment tour - which though full of ups and downs - the beach was definitely an up!We spent the first week on Edisto Island, SC with our friends the Garners and their little boy Aubrey. Gus and Aubrey are only six weeks apart and had fun playing together for the week.

First Ferry ride to the NC Aquarium at Ft. Fisher - quite the Griswold adventure
Gus loved the sand - and no he didn't eat it! He loves to feel everything, carpet, grass, and yes sand. He would move the towel out of his way to get to the sand and then drop it in little clumps onto the towel and his legs. Between that and a couple of shovels as drumsticks he was happy playing on the beach for hours.

Gus loved spending time with his cousins, and they loved him.
See ya next year beach and I won't be sitting under the umbrella then so watch out!
It was hard to get Gus to look at the camera because he was so interested in the waves. He is truly a little investigator, he likes to examine things before grabbing at them or putting them in his mouth. He may take after his Papa and become an engineer one day, but for now he is just our sweet little boy who loves the beach.
